Please bring a dish to VWB Jack's memorial service

Brethren and Masonic family,

If you are able to join us on Saturday for the memorial and celebration of life for VWB Jack Parker, please, please bring some sort of dish or finger food. It can be homemade but certainly can be store-bought. If we have too much food, that's OK! The other option is not so wonderful and we all appreciate everyone chipping in. This is your chance to contribute on a very important day as we say goodbye to Jack, comfort each other and celebrate the times we shared with him.

Only come to meeting tonight if roads are safe

From WM Clint Brown about tonight's meeting:

I have heard from several brothers today asking about tonight's meeting. After much discussion with several brothers who are out and about, a review of the current road conditions and the weather forecast, I have decided NOT to cancel this evenings meeting. However, I will not present my budget or Master's statement, saving those for our next stated meeting on Feb. 7, 2011 when the weather is better and more people can attend. We will have a very short meeting and then go home. I know several of you have already sent regrets.

I do not want to put anyone in harm's way. If you do not think you can safely make it to Lodge tonight, then please stay at home in front of a warm fire. Tomorrow may be ugly, so please be safe and let us know if you need anything.

Services for VWB Jack Parker

Brethren and members of the Masonic family, near and far:

A Masonic memorial service will be held for VWB Jack C. Parker:

Saturday, January 28th - 3 p.m.
Olympia Masonic Center
521 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA

VWB Jack C. Parker was a 60-year Mason and a Brother to many, as well as a member of many Masonic orders and bodies, including the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite and the Order of Eastern Star.

If you want to help set up the Lodge, several of us will be there by 1 p.m. Please pass the word to all of your friends in the Masonic family so we can properly send VWB Jack off to a better place.

Stand by for details about refreshments/food, which are still being coordinated.

If you have a Masonic apron, bring it since we expect this event to be a full house.

Harmony's next stated meeting

Please join WM Clint for his first meeting after his installation:

WM Clint plans to present his vision and statement of purpose to the Brothers assembled and may have his budget ready to present, as well.

It should be a relatively light meeting, business-wise, and we invite all of our Entered Apprentice and Fellowcraft Brothers to attend, as well.
